    Barry,

If you make it to Greenville. B's BBQ is, hands down, the best place to stop. It is located on the corner of B's BBQ Road and W. 5th Street (751 B's BBQ Rd Greenville, NC). You need to get there early for ribs and you have to ask for them. No guarantees they will have them. They are closed on Sunday and Monday. The BBQ is great and get an extra cup of sauce.

Not sure when you are going but the card show at the Raliegh Fairgrounds is one of the bigger shows around.

Grew up in Greenville--B's Barbecue (as mentioned above) is awesome, and I consider it the best in state. I now live a few hours away, but sometimes drive back to Greenville just to get some B's (even though I say I am going there to visit family still in Greenville). You need to make sure you do not wait too late to eat there--2 of the last 4 times I went to Greenville for a Saturday lunch, they had run out of BBQ between Noon and 1 PM--I recommend getting there before noon.

If they do happen to run out--drive over to Ayden and get some Pete Jones "Skylight Inn" BBQ. Pete Jones dies a few years ago, but his brothers are still running the show and the last time I was there, it tasted the same.

P.S. As mentioned above--B's is closed on Sunday and Mondays--also, they may close longer during some holiday breaks.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

Of course, the best BBQ in NC is in Lexington...but you are a bit away from there. image

Here is a listing for the shops in the area, Durham and Cary are close so they may be possibilities as well. Keep an eye open for me if you stop in to some!
