I bought 'hot packs' before and they are just resealed packs, so he knows exactly what card is in it.

Wait, so these packs are getting resealed? Or in other words, modern packs are being tampered with?

Assuming this is not the case, is there any other way he could determine that there is a Harper card in the pack?

I recall as a kid there was a movie where a guy saw through scratch off lottery tickets at the counter and split it with the clerk (Robo Cop maybe?). Unless this guy has that kind of vision, he is resealing packs.

not resealed. You can see through the wrapper. He "fans" the cards in the pack one at a time to see them all. What this does to the edges is not his problem.

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
