    Occur after grading: Yes

    A 9: No

The highest a pack should receive with any tears is a 7.

It is the gum moving around that is making the holes. At least you know that the gum isn't stuck to a card or bled through 4-5 of them. image

Post grading. Unfortunately this is a chronic problem with wax packs in which the gum is still loose in the pack.

Has anyone sold high graded packs that incurred damage afterwards? If so, was this reflected in the sales price?
  • I bought a 1976 PSA 9 pack with nicks in the wrapper. The ebay seller did not disclose this. I felt compelled to open the pack as it was no longer a 9. I did get three cards that I'm sending in for grading so all was not lost.

It seems there is still some issue with graded wax with the new holders as I have seen some high grades with slight tears or holes. My guess is it is not as bad as it used to be with the old pack
    holders though.
