I'm thinking it's Italian in origin but I can't find it in the Krause book.

Check under Tuscany. It's an issue of Cosimo III de Medici.

Thanks for the identification.
Unfortunately this coin isn't displayed in the Krause book under the Tuscany section (pages 1131-1132).

Could be Livorno or Pisa or some other Tuscan city. Might be a medallic issue of which Krause's coverage is not very good.

If it was medallic issue, it might be in the Unusual catalog. Krause has many medallic issues in their "Unusual" catalog series.
