Baseball set you would most like to have, but can't afford.

For me, it's the 62's. While many of the commons are forgettable, some of the star cards are awesome, and tough to obtain in 8. Trying to complete the set in a straight 8 is not only tough, buy very expensive. Espically if you include the variations, not only the green tints, but the pose and picture changes. Maris, Mays, Frank Robinson all command big premiums. I'm drooling over the current 62 set break from Steve Novella. Mays $3675, F. Robinson $2600, Aaron $1280, Mantle $2326, Billy Hoeft Blue Sky variation $889. I wish I could go back 25 years ... who doesn't?

1971 Topps set with all HOFers and checklists in PSA 7 (but rest of the set raw and NM or better so I can look through those in a binder). Sad to say with us having only our disability checks, I don't think I'll ever get even close to affording one. image

But I still got lots of other more affordable projects to keep me busy, like finishing my 1975-79 sets (see sig) and especially my early/mid 90s insert set projects! image I'm also into collecting retro video game cartridges (especially NES/SNES)

I'm mostly a baseball guy, so the T206 or '52 topps would be great, but I've always been attracted to the '55 All-American set. That would be a great one to own.

I wish I could have the #1 registry set for 1954 Wilson Franks. I know the star power is limited but there's just something wonderful about those cards.

I suppose I should just say it... I love me some wieners.

52 Topps....matches the year I was born so it's my first choice....second choice would be either 61 or 62 topps

I think I would do the 52T set in straight 7 - trying to keep them nicely centered.

I remember when I could've afforded #311 in Nm condition.
