Fisch testers and why coin dealers drink MCMXLVIII

Does anyone have any experience with the Fisch precious metal testers? I just had a guy in the store who apparently bought a 4 coin set of GE every year for a while now reject the coins because his Fisch tester showed that they were off. Mind you these are from fresh 2013 rolls from CNT that are perfectly fine. I went to Fisch's website and apparently these testing kits are a couple hundred bucks apiece. Anyone know what kind of koolaid these people are peddling.

    I have a set of Fisch testers purchased during the previous bull market in gold. I don't use them much, unless I am suspicious, and even then may throw the coin on a scale. Do you know what test they failed?
    For the weight test you need a level surface. Sometimes a dinged coin may fail a dimensional test. If this is for the proof set, then all bets are off.
