Found my old cards and need some info

Hi all,

I have some old cards from the 70's that I can't find any info on.The cards are from topps and are part of some game, they have pics of players on the front and yards gained or lost on the top and bottom.

I don't have a full set. I discribe a card.... card number 7--has a pic of OJ Simpson and 9 Yard Gain at the top and bottom,
Card #10--Gale Sayers and 7 yard gain. The cards measure about 2 1/4 X 3 1/4 they are small and have a football in the middle and a helmet with the topps logo in each corner of the back.

Can anyone tell me what these are and what they're worth in ok condition?

I also have a couple of miss cut 1973, I think they are Topps, 1 is Charlie Cowen Tackle for the Rams Card number 301 ( I have the matching card cut correctly) and the other is Paul ? a Guard for the redskins, the top of both cards are cut off and both players are #73.

How rare are these and what are they worth in good condition?

Thanks,
Chainsaw Jeff

Do a search on eBay of the card. Click "sold listings" @ top of screen. You can compare your card with sold listings. That's the best gauge of it's true value. Compare your card's condition to the sold item...condition is everything.
  • These are not regular cards, I'll add pics to the original post.

tried to add pics said file to large.

    Thanks,

Jeff ... the ones like the OJ you have were inserts in '71 wax packs. Here is a little blurb describing them:

The 1971 Topps football Game Inserts were issued with the regular 1971 Topps cards, and can be used to play a table game of football. The 1971 Topps Game set consists of 53 cards: 52 players and a field position/first down marker card that can be used when playing the table game. The cards measure 2 ¼” by 3 ¼” and have rounded corners.

    Is this the card?

In OK condition probably not more than $5.00.

As mentioned 1971 FB wax packs contained one of these cards plus one poster and 8 regular cards.

  • Thanks, I have 22 of the 53 and they are in fair to good condition.

    Are they worth anything?

    Thanks.

I sold mine on ebay a while ago. You will get a little for the star cards if they look nice.

Post a few scans of the star players and you might get some input on value.
