My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

This 27-card set features strange moments in sports and was issued as an insert inside Quaker Puffed Rice cereal boxes or a box top mail-in offer. The cards measure approximately 2 1/4” x 3 1/2” and have rounded corners. Fronts of the cards are drawings depicting the person of the event with a stripe at the top of the card appears the words “Sports Oddities.” Two colorful drawings fill the rest of the card, the left half is a portrait while the right half is action oriented. A variety of different sports are included. All cards are in Near Mint condition unless noted.
