Commit or Rollback?

I've been experimenting with the set registry, and I'm not understanding the whole "commit or rollback" thing. Can someone explain in detail the process?

I add inventory, that I understand.

What would I do if I want to keep track of a set, but do not want it on the registry or in any way public?

I dunno. I clicked Delete a while ago.

You can edit your sets. You can choose to make it public or hidden, hide your email or not, make it public but unable to be viewed. Many options that can easily be changed if you change your mind.

One other question....when you look at someone's registry set, there will be a link that says: "Joe Shmo's Sets". Where is this user nickname specified in one's account? I only see the option to name sets, not to create a user nickname.

They named it Joe Shmo's set

But "Joe Shmo" isn't the name of the set. The set might be named "JS '75 Mini's", and then the "other sets" link will say "Joe Shmo's sets."

I figured it out...the nickname is just the PSA user name that can be specified in the regular PSA account info.
