I would like to introduce myself. My name is Doug and collected football cards as a kid (60's, 70's & 80's). When Starting Lineups came out, I got rid of all my cards and collected Starting Lineups. I collected Starting Lineups from 88-00 when Kenner stopped producing them. I then started collection McFarlane's from 00-12. I got rid of all my Starting Lineups and McFarlane's and have come back to my roots, Football cards!!! I just finished a 1970 Kelloggs 3-D set PSA 8-10 and I am loving it!!! Just started putting together a Joe Montana (81-89) PSA set. I can't afford to fill anything on my want list due to the Kelloggs set, LOL. I have a 1981 Joe Montana PSA 8 coming, and also a 1981 Joe Montana PSA 7. I'll be looking to trade the Montana PSA 7 when it gets here. Anyway, sorry if I rambled on.
Thanks,
Doug
Thanks,
Doug

Welcome!
I collected SLUs and still have them - probably don't have anywhere near what you had tho.
Congratulations on completing the 1970 Kelloggs 3-D set! And good luck on your Montana set.
I'm looking forward to your posts on the set.
Don't be a stranger.

You'll have to excuse some of the village idiots, The Pulouis sigline pretty much says it all.
Anyway! Welcome aboard! Im all about Football cards! 60' 70's 80's , Its the best stuff in the hobby!
Congrats on the 1970 Kellogg set. Its a great set and one ive owned myself for many years!
The Montana set is another great project, Shouldn't be to difficult to complete.
Im basically a raw set collector and have busted more 80's wax than I can even remember!
The 1982 Topps Football set is one of my very favorites from the decade. I must have ripped at least 10 wax boxes
over the years with the goal of achiving the perfect cented mint set. So how is it that after all the ripping I still have
a wantlist? I have still yet to pull the perfect Ronnie Lott rookie, its always the centering that gets me. LOL
Ive got a case of 1982 Rack Packs and I may just bust all of them open as well here someday!
What else do you have planned after the Montana project?
It would be great to see some of your collection. Do you know how to post scans here?
Here are a few of my favorite cards:
Hope to see some of your great cards soon!
Doug
Welcome!
Photo bucket is indeed the resource many of us use to store photos. Just copy the direct link of the photo (provided by Photo bucket) with the use of the "Image" button (4th button - Bold - Italic - Underline - Image). You may or may not need to use this button anymore, but I still do.

Morning and welcome aboard,
Similar background, my Dad did some legal work (He was an Attorney) for Al Davis in the 60's-70's, we went to every home game from the age of 6-to about 15 or so, lived in Sac and SF, but when it was a home game went down on friday nights and spent the entire weekend. Had seats in the Box right behind the Raiders bench, about 10 feet from the bench (And that's when there was an actual Bench). Knew all the Raider Greats and and who was good with kids and who was just as wacky as you thought!!!
