Looks like activity is very strong for high end cards.
Doesn't matter if it's PSA, SGC, BVG, or KSA.
Recent Ebay Sales
I know of a couple 8.5's and 9's that have sold off of ebay recently too.
The SGC 92 went for $2,400.00, and the PSA 9 went for $5,000.00

Funny you post that I saw it too, he ripped off all the images from the original listing, I don't think it's legit (the original buyer was paperknights), both the seller of the current auction and buyer on the original are Canadian but not shocking for a Gretzky item.
This is a beautiful card.
I am sure you got a strong price.
<< <i>and I sold my opc sgc 98 pop 1 - private sale... >>
Wow, that has to be a $4k card.
<< <i>I believe Mr. Navaro used to own this, I'm pretty sure I helped him get it slabbed by BGS. >>
Yes sir. I had one of those. Can't see on my mobile phone if it's the same serial number as my old one. That "card" was a good score for me. Got it really cheap at a Heritage Sunday night auction and got the BGS hookup from Vlad. I don't remember for sure what I sold it for but my memory recalls around $1500 or so

I don't even like hockey much, but Gretzky is such an iconic figure. He's almost bigger than the sport. One of my favorite cards in my collection, and in my humble opinion the nicest 9 going

SGC 98 This is a beautiful card. I am sure you got a strong price.
According to the link you posted, I'd definitely call that a strong price:
Final Bid(Includes Buyers Premium): $62,558.30
I highly doubt he sold it at a loss so I am guessing he sold it for more then that.
<< <i>That was when Rick purchased it.
