Nice grades. OPC series2 is a super tough set in mint condition. If you exclude the in action cards its a nice little set with a few good rookies and very condition sensitive.
Scans of most of my Misc rookies can be found <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.collectors.com/m...y&keyword1=Non%20major">here

    Nice sub sir!!!!

Thank you for the kind responses.

Overall I am very pleased with this sub. I am working on putting together a graded run of all of the base cards from the OPC Series II and I needed these for my set.

The Wrestling All Stars were the better condition cards I had left raw and I sent in a few to fill spots in a registry set. I expected a few of these to do better then they did but if anything it reinforces how tough they can be.

I am very pleased with the boxing results. I only have one of the Mike Tyson foil card and I wanted it in a PSA holder. I was expecting a PSA 4 or maybe a PSA 5 on it. The foil stickers are super tough in high grade. I am not sure if it will show up in a scan but it is bent in the middle. Either way it will look cool in a slab. The Question of Sport results were excellent and there have only been four of the Back View card graded with one graded higher. These do not show up much on EBAY and this was a raw purchase for $3.

The 1988 Wonderama results were fantastic and I am very excited about these. They have turned out to be really tough to get PSA 10's and the last PSA 10 Flair went for $223 about six months ago. The Road Warriors and Paul Ellering is a Pop 1 and a super cool card. I purchased 11 factory sets of these looking for strong condition cards and it turned out to be a nice purchase.

The Bill Goldberg PSA 10's are a nice hit and those were raw purchases on EBAY and an excellent addition to my graded collection.

The PSA 6 The Koloffs will slightly improve my Carnation set and these in any grade are cool. There has only been one raw card from the set come on EBAY in the past four or five months.

The Barry Larkin is a nice hit. I bought the factory set from my first economics professor in 1999 looking for a razor sharp Barry Bonds for $50 for the set. Now I can get some of my money back! image

I struck gold when I bought two sealed sets from BBCX of the 89 Fleer Glossy in 2011 and decided to send these in and see how they did. I checked EBAY completed sales last night and I should able to get back my grading fees on the cards so it was worth the gamble.

  • Awesome. Glad it worked out well for you. Please, share some scans when you get them back in hand. Would love to see some of these beauties.

David - Out of curiosity after seeing you submit the Bill Goldberg football cards, do you also collect the cards of wrestlers in other sports? For example, Wahoo McDaniel, Ernie Ladd, Leo Nomellini, and Verlon Biggs were all successful pro players that had wrestling careers. Do you collect the cards of those guys as well?

    Powdered,

I have given it some thought and have had many of those cards on my watch lists but have yet to pull the trigger.

What I like about the Goldberg card is the limited production run and how early in his career it was.

Over time I suspect I will move in that direction.

My current prime target is the Dwayne Johnson Miami Huricanes card.

I also remember Russ Francis of the late 70s Patriots wrassin in the Vern Gagne production.

Russ Francis also appeared in the Battle Royale in Wrestlemania II, along with a few other NFL players, including William Perry.

I was going through my Photobucket looking for a card and found the Tyson I sent in.

Here is what the card looks like raw.

Don't know a lot about wrestling/boxing cards but those scans are great to view. Congrats on a great submission.
