1908/09 Ogden wrestling sub

These were the raw cards purchased from the seller in the UK all advertised as NM/MT to MINT. Overall im pretty happy with the results. Getting a 9 on the Sullivan makes the sub for me. I was really hoping for a 9 on the Johnson. i'll settle for a measly ole 8image

    Great sub! That Jack Johnson is a nice card. Post some scans when you get them.

    wow. I would love to see the value added to these by having them graded. Did you pay strong retail prices for them ungraded?

    outstanding pop! was this the Johnson (and others) that sold for a pretty high prices a month or two back? Looks like it was worth the investment.

    Congratulations on the grades. Those made it up a little higher than the snipes I had set when the raw card auctions were running. I'm glad to see the investment will pay off for you.

    Yes these are those cards. I did pay strong prices for these cards. If the Johnson had not come back an 8 I would have overpaid. I did overpay for some of the other cards based on the grades. At the end of the day it all washes out to where my investment pays off. I still have about 7 or 8 more cards to send in. i'll get around to them this month.

    Wow, strong grades overall and congratulations on your grades. I was hoping that yours would work out as I was pretty disappointed in the Frank Gotch card that I bought but I have not sent it in yet so we will see.

    I got a PSA 8 on the Zbyzsko that I subbed from that seller, still need to send in my Frank Gotch card. There is some discoloration on the back though.

    My Frank Gotch had discoloration on the back and only got a 6, would have loved to have pulled an 8 or higher on it like you did on some of yours. The search continues for me!
