My quest to collect all 1986-96 Fleer/Ultra inserts and 1975-79 graded cards (getting $$$ for these

Hi everyone! Do you guys remember a few years back about how I was into the mid-90s Fleer/Ultra inserts? Well I thought you guys might be curious as to how I was doing. These are what I still need to finish my eh, "set" of 1986-96 Fleer/Ultra inserts. Plus I figured the 1990-93 Upper Deck inserts are pretty interesting and mostly affordable so I figured why not go for those too?

Well I was able to get some good stuff for this project...but sadly I had to give up my unopened pack collection and my 1975 and 1974 Topps near sets to make it happen. But no biggie, I can always do 1975 (and later 1974) later on at any time. But my focus is really on getting all these neat insert sets!

Incidentally I was able to also pick up a 1990 Upper Deck Reggie Jackson Heroes (this completes my Upper Deck Heroes set up to 1993) and 1991 Upper Deck Silver Sluggers set to go with the Ted Williams Donruss HOF Diamond King puzzle. That puzzle along with a Yaz Donruss HOF Diamond King puzzle I put in frames and gave to my wife (who as many of you know is a native Bostonian) as early anniversary (6/17/05) presents. Am I a good boy or what?

I already have the 1992 Ultra baseball set/inserts (and in fact I'm just one b-ball insert set from having 1992 Ultra master sets of all three major ball sports!), but hopefully the picture posted is a perfect example of just why I find the 1992-96ish era of inserts (especially Fleer/Ultra) so appealing. 1992 and 1993 Ultra (both regular and inserts) are quite beautiful and classy looking with their limestone design. Shoot I may even do the hockey sets for those years also! That's just how addicting that design is!

Well back then before the days of Feebay it was much much tougher to get those sets. And there wasn't over 20 years worth of backlog afterwards drowning them out.

I thought at one point Feebay had a 1992 Ultra master set for sale pretty cheap but I think I let it get away Oh well...

Special thanks to bigdcards for sending me a free 1990 Fleer BK All-Stars insert set! Every little bit helps, right?

Just updated my checklist as I have 7/10 1993-94 Fleer basketball insert sets on the way so I listed the three I'll still be missing and the ones I have left to get from 1990-91 to 1993-94.

Just picked up a 1994 SP diecut set (minus A-Roid; much cheaper that way; I can get him later once he's been thoroughly disgraced and his cards are worthless ) and the 1993 and 1994 Donruss Diamond Kings sets. I'll update my checklist a little later.

And why can't one little six card set of 1993 Fleer Pro-Visions ever show up!?!? It's driving me crazy!!

I think my checklist should be pretty much up to date...any one here got some of those insert sets (complete insert sets only unless otherwise specified), preferably several in one purchase?

Hi I got about $100 (maybe a little more if the package/offer looks REALLY good) to get some more of my insert sets crossed off? I haven't even started yet on Fleer football insert sets so if any of you guys got several insert sets of those (especially 1992-94) that'd be especially awesome.

My wife will be receiving an inheritance check soon from her late mother (fantastic mother-in-law BTW ) later this week and she is graciously letting me have a small portion to help get my card and retro-games collections caught up, yay! Hope you guys can help me cross as many of these off my list as I can...or course the more I can get in one purchase the better!
