1984 Topps Cello with Elway on Top and Marino on Back

Picked this up today and just listed on Ebay and the PSA BST message board. I checked PSA and only (1) has been graded. Any experts out there have a guess of how many of these exist?

If that is indeed real then that is a great pickup. I am sure there are a bunch of fake packs like that in circulation though, get that sucker authenticated. I bet you could count real packs like that on one or two hands, if they have not been ripped yet!

I'm not sure how many could exist but I have the one that is graded by PSA and no I did not buy it from the known scammer. Good luck on getting yours graded.

The seal on the back over the stats looks to have been torn at one time? And now its sealed back flat and smooth again. What is that zig zag line on the cello if it is not a tear??

Being a chiefs fan you should be thrilled at the deals you could get on an 85 Todd blackledge cello. Bet you didn't think of that silver lining to not drafting Marino, elway young if Kelly ha.

He still made that combo for YEARS AND YEARS before he started getting them graded.

Maybe, but I bought mine about 12 years ago from a different seller. I also purchased it raw and had the opportunity to inspect it out of the holder for 10 years before sending it in. I believe it is legit. By his own admission he says he started in 2010 but of course he is obviously not the most trusworthy person so his word is worthless. Being skeptical is a good thing but not all star packs are bad.

Well assuming a normal distribution pattern that combo would exist in about every 75,000 packs. Not sure total number of packs produced for '84 football but if anyone knows, that would give an idea at least of how many initially existed.
