HUH? Are you talking about the 1956 Topps card?

I actually haven't heard of a big problem with the '56 Mantle original being confused with a reprint. Just like any other reprint vs a vintage card, check the card stock, thickness, color, printing, etc. It should be easy to tell the difference. Is there one you're looking at that you need help with?

I tend to stay away from fuzzy and tilted photos of a card like that, they could be covering something up. Let alone it's not graded.

since a decision is already made (it seems), ....not even going to tell you what I thing of this cards authenticity...
if you always pass on cards with low quality tilted cellphone type pics, then you will never get a deal... ever!

its best to learn about these common card sets, and ask simple questions
ie what size it s the card? 1956 Topps cards are NOT normal 'baseball card size'

also ask questions like ... can you guarantee the card will be authenticated by a 3rd party grader? All honest sells will always guarantee/stand behind their product...
if they balk then walk away, dont walk away just cause the guy aint no pro at taking pics

on this card, the only 'redflag' is the front and back pics dont match... its not hard to ask him 'why?' and ask for better clearer pics of the front and back ... just to help prove he has the card in hand

the 1956 Topps Mantle is a very common card, its the opposite of 'rare'..... there are far more authentic cards out there than reprints of this card.
