16 months worth of late 70's and 80's baseball and football poppage

I've been storing up an order to submit for about 16 months. Despite a couple EOT's, every one of these was pulled by my brother and I from pack or vending in the last year+ except the Mantle which I subbed for a friend. Most all originated from BBCE. This is only my second PSA sub ever, so overall I was pretty happy. Some of the cards we knew had 8 upside at best going in, but we just wanted to get them in a holder. Also, call me crazy but we do not inspect the surface thoroughly, just a quick once over (spoils the fun). Luckily this procedure only burned us a couple times in this sub. The results:

    Wow, as an 80s baseball and football card fan, a lot of cool stuff in here!! Congrats, you got some really good scores in there. I understand the labor of love and patience before making a big sub like this. Always feels good when they come back close to what you hoped for.

    Great group of cards! I'd bet they would look cool if you spread them all out on the floor at once - one big display.

    Nice work on those! I'm guessing the Yount was centered low?


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    grote (Can I call you Tim?): Your knowledge never ceases to amaze me. You are spot on about the Yount being low. I don't measure (again, spoils the fun) but to my eye I didn't think it would go OC.

    Jealous of the 80's football. You have a lot of the cards I am going after right now. After reading the boards, I'm a little terrorfied to buy any raw 80's rookies because of the chance of them being counterfeit.

    I think they are relatively tough. It seems they sell for either side of 150, which is pretty good for some old junk wax!
