  • I was waiting for this one. Read the news and have to say was a bit shocked when I read 58 and figured he was much older. If that voice was really his well then I wouldn't say the news isn't surprising.

RIP to a man that created a childhood of memories for me. Thank you.

Can we get a roll call of scans going for related items the board has.....

I was really shocked when I saw 58 too. I remember watching wrestling 20 years ago and thought he was around 50 then.

For an entire month in the summer of 1992, I portrayed a recurring character called ”Otto The Eternal Olympic Flamebearer” as entertainment at a camp I was working at. It was essentially a direct ripoff of Paul Bearer, mixed with my own exaggerated social retardation. It was Oscar caliber, if I do say so my damn self.
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!

Sad news but I'm not shocked. As others, I am more surprised about how young he was.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    Percy Pringle

I have lived in Orlando my entire life. In 1985 this segment aired on the local wrestling and I got to watch it. We did not have cable so Championship Wrestling from Florida was a Sunday staple! We begged our parents to leave church as soon as the 11 o'clock sermon was over with the hopes of making it home by 12:15 to catch the last 45 minutes.

Percy Pringle was one of the heal managers.

    RIP

I remember him more as Percy Pringle. Youtube him and you will find some entertaining interviews. He loved the business and seemed to be a good man. Apparently he was over 500 lbs at one time and had gastric bypass surgery and lost a lot of weight. Look for interviews of him and Jim Cornette talking about the business. Very entertaining. RIP Percy Pringle.
  • He was one of my favourites. RIP

ah, I remember the days when PB and the Undertaker were the greatest evil the WWF/E had ever known. Entertaining stuff, for sure.

Last time I saw Paul Bearer on TV he was with Kane they were involved with Edge before he retired. I enjoyed Paul Bearer especially when he was with the Undertaker.

One of my customers was very excited, because he had a ticket to a luncheon with Paul Bearer in the Boston area this upcoming Saturday...

I guess he really did work in a funeral home at one time.
