Guy on blowout football board says he got sent fake PSA 9 rookies of Ryan, Jordan, Rice in sealed holders.
Here is a link to the thread, interesting read so far and it just started.

So I wonder what the guy does with them. I would think PSA will want all info of the guy who traded these to him and try and trace back to where they came from.
PSA is just getting killed in that thread.
PSA will need to see a real threat from BGS or SGC before they'll make a move. That's all there is to it.

PSA slabs have been flawed for years.
Is the PSA brand a significant part of Collectors Universe's income? It was always my understanding that they got a majority of their revenue from their coin grading brand.

<< <i>I posted a thread a while ago that spoke to this and also to how PSA will NOT reimburse a collector who buys a compromised slab. I know a few collectors who bought resealed slabs that had been polished up very well, with lesser cards inside that seemed okay via scan. PSA told those collectors that the best way to purchase their cards is through PSA authorized dealers. They likened fake or resealed slabs to bootleg/knockoffs of name brand merchandise, i.e., Rolex, Gucci, Vuitton. They said Rolex does not reimburse people who buy fake Rolexes on Canal Street in Manhattan. If you want a Rolex you know is legit you should buy it at an authorized Rolex store. >>
That's great. I guess when you sell your collection you have to give it to a PSA authorized dealer too. How wonderful!

<< <i>Same guy oasis1994 id ...tried to sell the card to Handyman...I pulled this scan when he post on this board. Notice two pins are popped on the bottom of the card and font on flip is wrong!!

so this dirtbag posts on this forum?
<< <i>These are very obvious fakes. Counterfeit PSA labels, compromised real PSA holders and counterfeit cards. >>
The card itself is also counterfeit? This Ryan I can't tell, looks trimmed if anything. The back of the PSA label would be significantly harder to replicate compared to the front (which he obviously struggled with) my guess is that they have just glued a real one on. If you had this in hand I am betting the edge of the flip looks different from a normal card.

Seems fair on PSA's part. Why should they reimburse a forgery? It has nothing to do with them, really. At best, PSA would do something to prevent forgery in the future, but I dont think it is in their jurisdiction to reimburse fake slabs. That's a losing proposition. The seller who sold the forgery should be doing the reimbursement, not PSA.

So Ryan card has shown up before. Have that Rice and Jordan been moved around before?
