Auction Catalog-of-the-Week “Special”
If there is sufficient interest, I plan to present an older auction catalog for sale on a weekly basis - at a “special price” - that is interesting and important for coin, currency, or exonumia research.
I am truly excited for my inaugural offering, which is also fairly tough to find:
The C.H. Stearns sale of Dec 2-3 1966, held by Mayflower Coin Auctions of Boston MA.
Charles Stearns was born in 1820 and was active in the mid-late 1800’s era along with Mickley, Parmalee, Crosby, Storer, and Appleton. The collection passed down two generations to George Stearns, who died in October of 1965. The catalog is well-illustrated and features a stunning collection of Massachusetts silver and other colonials, as well as early Federal copper coinage. The sale also contained store cards and Canadian coins.
Catalog plus copy of the prices realized list…. $35 postpaid.
I am one of only a few literature dealers who post an extensive catalog pricelist online. I cater to collectors and researchers who are trying to trace the provenance history of their prized coins. The majority of my catalogs are from the 1940’s to present, although I do have some older items from time to time. These items are available for immediate purchase, without having to wait for them to show up in a literature auction. My website is found HERE
