February 2013 PCGS Invitational

As they have for the last several years, PCGS continues to produce wonderful dealer friendly shows in Las Vegas. The current show at the Venetian was very well attended with a vast array of dealers including many of the regulars. I know Charmy was around snapping photos so I am sure she will have her pics posted this weekend. Don had the PCGS crew recording a video so I am sure that will be up soon as well. There were a lot of neat coins trading hands and I know I was lucky enough to get my hands on some. While there were a lot of nice coins, the prices reflected current demand which is pretty strong. It will be interesting to see how the market holds up heading into Baltimore and CSNS.
My only complaint about the show is actually looking a gift horse in the mouth. While the food is AMAZING especially for a coin show, all the meals were pretty much all meat. Even the eggs and salad had bacon in them. That being said the fact that they spend so much to make there be real food is very much appreciated. Also, I hold PCGS responsible for trying to make everyone at the show fat. The quantity and quality of snack food and junk food PCGS provides is REDICULOUS. image
