Good price for OBW 1963 Frankies?

What's the going rate for an unopened original roll of 63-P Franklin halves?

Melt would be ideal... I'd pay $50 over probably if the ends were tight.

A big range depending on who is the buyer and how it's being sold.

If the buyers are thinking there's a high grade and willing to bid it up like crazy it might do well.

Some dealers might offer melt plus a tiny premium.

It really depends how it's sold and to who.

If such a roll is owned by one of the Ebay sharks, it will be photographed with an unc Carson City seated half reverse on one end of the roll. image
That one will go for big money. image

I wouldn't pay much of a premium.. I bought an OBW roll of '63-P's in 1968 for $13.50., and opened the roll immediately. Although all of the coins had great luster, they also had a LOT of bagmarks. I'm sure there are still many rolls with better coins around, but don't count on getting one.
