A little love for 1992 Leaf Black/Gold

If you aren't aware of this set, it was put out more or less as an insert into packs of 1992 Leaf. You would get one of these Gold/Black cards in each pack. However, I don't really consider this an "insert" or "specialty" set. Being it is a mirror of the base set and has all the same cards, it is pretty much a separate, parallel set of its own.
To me, this should have been the design that Leaf/Donruss went with for the base set. It's a simple design with a lot of great, clear photography and some great action shots. Black borders are always a winner to me and the gold trim is just enough but not too much. The set isn't huge at 528 and there are some good RC's as well as great HOF's. I recently picked up a couple of complete sets.
Here are a few of my favorites. Gotta say the Will Clark is my favorite...

I sold/traded a mess of it for older stuff.
I still have some in the closet - somewhere?
That and Fleer Rookie Sensations.

@prthd- yeah, that's about as intense of a shot as it gets!
@vlad- not 100% sure on that, but they did release a "preview" set of 33 when dealers ordered a box of 1992 Donruss Base sets. So, I think they would have debuted a bit earlier than 92 Topps Gold
@vettfanatic- see below
@stone193- I was about 13 when these came out and remember the craze a bit. When there was only one per pack and we knew we needed 528 for a set, that made it even MORE necessary to go nuts for them, haha
@digi- BEAUTIFUL card there. Thanks for posting it
Here are a few more. The first scan is others from the base set. The second scan is some of my favorite from the Previews 33 card set.

Terrific card. I like it more than the 1992 Fleer Update.

While we're at it, may as well give a little love to the predecessors!
