Girl Scout's Young Collector Set

kiyotekiyote Posts: 5,588 ✭✭✭✭✭
Does anyone have any details on what might be in the set? It's limited to 50,000 sets and is "Coming soon" according to the US Mint brochure.

I'd love to see an SMS Jefferson nickel again!

Last night we were debating why the GS don't have a smores cookie, and we got to thinking that with the right combination of thin mints and trefoils you could you get an approximation.
  • I would like to know why a girlscout Bogart'ed her way onto the boyscout coin, but theres no boyscout on the girlscout coin.

This has been discussed on these forums many times. There is no Girlsscout on the Boyscout Coin. They Boyscouts allow girls as members, It is a female Boyscout. As the Girlscouts don't allow boys as members there are no male Girlsscouts.

Could you please link this as I don't see it anywhere. I just see the MS + Proof Single coins.

I don't think this is a completely correct statement. The Boy Scouts have an Explorer program which allows girls. The coin represents that program in addition to the Boy and Cub Scouts.

I am still waiting to see a guy in a cowboy hat with 5% Cherokee blood represented on a Native American dollar. You know they need to be inclusive at the Mint.

The girl Scouts don't allow boys as members? Sounds discriminatory. Or are they a pubrivate organization like the Boy Scouts?
