Very nice. If you don't mind me saying, I think your white balance is off on a few of those images. Can be corrected with a photo editing program and I bet the coins would show even nicer and not be so orangish. . image

Nice! Thanks for the compliment on my 1810. I like your 1812 from a CircCam standpoint, but the 1809 above is perhaps the most visually arresting of this group. That reverse picture really grabs the eye.

Constantine might have a point about white balance. I tried saving that reverse picture of your 1809 and reopening it with Microsoft Picture Manager (which is all that was handy on this computer at work), so I could try the Autocorrect feature. It mostly just brightened the picture and still left it with a sort of golden color, but was more glarey than your original.

Maybe the white balance is off a tad, but the pictures are quite serviceable and better than most I could do.

And I'll bet those coins have some natural goldish-grey attributes to their toning in hand, eh?

LM, the first 1809 is definately the coolest of the crowd...most of these have hard to photograph color (for me), so I was trying out a bit of tilting and white balance adjusting.

The balance on the coins was as close as I could get, on my monitor anyway, to what they look like in hand...even though on some the white area around the holder looks orange..

I don't have any higher grade Capped Bust Halves in the old ANACS holders, but all of these are uncommon.

This is not the ordinary 1811/10. It is R4.

This one is is R1 but R4 for the die state.

I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
