I'm not familiar with the card since I collect hockey but the corners look legit on the card. There is a touch of wear on each one. What makes you think it was trimmed?

Look closely at the top of the card...maybe just a miscut?
FWIW, the SMR is $115 in NM. $65 even in EX.
Circumstantial evidence, but there was relatively little bidding for a Mantle card, and zero flurry of bidding activity at the end for a Mantle card that was underpriced, even if miscut.
Seller being from Guam is not an issue. He has been there forever, and is not new to cards. The card I have no opinion on, but the seller is as solid as they come. Guam uses the USPS just as Hawaii does, same tracking, no extra charge etc.
I see what you mean about the top of the card. It doesn't show it on the back though. It doesn't make sense that someone would partially trim the card and then leave it like that.
Forget about SMR ... that card sells for $75.00 SLABBED as a "PSA 7". Let's assume it is legit and in NM condition. You have to take into account that it is miscut on the back. That, arguably, would push it down to a straight "PSA5". Those sell for about $35.00 already slabbed.
Add to the $28.00 selling price (including shipping) the $5.00 - $10.00 that it would cost you to get the card slabbed (PSA fees, shipping both ways, etc), and that card sold for close to what it should have sold for. JMO, but I think it makes sense.
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

The seller can't be all that solid if they are grading the card as NM, but failing to disclose obvious print flaws along with a less obvious miscut(at minimum).

I try to price my BINs off of recently sold prices... and I know exactly what you mean by all over the map.
