FYI: New E-Bay Shipping Glitch by E-Bay !!!
![thedutymon](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/authoricons/ACF70CB.jpg)
Evening,
For those who use E-Bay/Paypal shipping, E-Bay has figured out another way to scam you out of a few more penny's each time. "On E-Bay if were not ripping you off a Nickel at a Time...We haven't accomplished our Mission !!
"
Anyway the latest is this: for several years now when I click on "Print Shipping Label" in my Sales, it takes me to the page where you pick out the shipping options, my default is First Class Package/Parcel and then it gives you a drop down window to pick 1-13 ozs (Not of course Pre-Filled Out), 95% of my sales are 3 oz or less (1 Graded card or lots of Raw Cards). This costs with the new rates, $1.69. Now they have figured out to pre fill out the weight at 5 oz, which is $2.04, so if your not paying attention and just click on 'Purchase Postage (They caught me twice with this one, tired, not paying attention, there exact Reason for pulling this one!!!!)
So just be aware.........................

Yeah, it's criminal how they charge you seller's fees on shipping costs. Then if you try to pass that on to the buyer, they think you're ripping them off by a dollar or two.
<< <i>Good catch and thanks for the info.

Exactly, so Ebay can make the seller look like the bad guy, and Ebay skates free.

stupid print dots
<< <i>I just printed a shipping label from ebay, and it did not default to any weight. Does it happen everytime Neil, maybe that was just the last one you used? >>
Morning Mike,
No its not the last one I used, it does it almost every time, not every, but most all times. Its the same as the scam they get me on almost every time I go to list something, I use one of my current listings as a template, which all 1800 are duration of "Good Till Cancelled" and it changes the duration to 7 days, so 7 days later a bunch of listings end and I have to relist therm. They have been pulling this one on me for 2-3 years and I keep falling for it!!
Neil
nothing defaults to a higher weight and the tracking # is automatically
posted on your MyeBay page.
So it's the same as what you're doing now, but without the hassle.
<< <i>I think "scam" is very unlikely. There's probably another reason that it's happening. Why would they only try scamming you some of the time? >>
Ok so scam may be a bit harsh, but that is happening at all is concerning. And I do believe and have been told that E-bay does this type of thing (By E-Bay Customer Service Monkees). They even admitted to me that there computor has some sort of algorythm that changes the Listing duration from "Good Till Cancelled", to 7 day duration (And this is on BIN's), based on some sort of other input. But they wouldn't go so far as to admit that it was so they could get .20 cents per month per listing over what should be .05 cents per month! On that I call BS, nobody creates a computor algorythm that costs their customers money other than to boost the bottom line!!!
