Frustrated!!!!

I recently had a 2004 Skybox L.E. Eli Manning RC /99 graded. It recieved an 8.5. There is only one other one on the pop report (an 8). I was under the impression that I was buying the only other one graded by PSA. I get the card today, and it's not serial numbered at all. Which tells me that it's a leftover from the Fleer buyout. WHY WHY WHY is PSA or any other companies for that matter grading these cards???. As far as I'm concerned, my 8.5 is the only REAL one graded by PSA. I'm half tempted to destroy this one, and probably will.

Yeah I understand your frustration.....I have come across this several times with the fleer playmakers theatre basketball set.

It was a legitimately produced card. IMO it should be graded with a separate line reflecting that it is unnumbered and be considered a different variety of card (similar to how 1992 Topps Gold and 1992 Topps Gold Winner are separated on the Pop Report).

that would be a good idea. Either that or PSA should start putting serial numbers on flips.....that would help....but I'm sure that wouldn't happen.
  • I know that some of these in basketball were slabbed as PSA with "executive proof" or other language to signify they weren't pack issued.

Beckett makes the notation on the non serial numbered cards like these... I'm thinking PSA just missed this one.
