I've just recently tethered my Camera to my computer with the NKremote software. I wish I had done so earlier.
It's just so much nicer to see the results on the computer before taking and then re-taking the image.

This looks pretty darn close to the coin in hand. Also,...Please guess the grade.

    tethering is also built into Lightroom

    With Live Preview? I couldn't get Live Preview in Lightroom to work with my camera. The Nikon d5000

    I believe you need Lightroom 4
