Need help. What grades would these cards would get?

Looking for opinions from people who have submitted cards before. I am trying to put together a PSA 7 or better set of 61 Fleer basketball and want to know if any of these may get a 7 or 8. Any opinions would be appreciated.

These are just 4 scans of raw cards I have. I have more that are in similar condition and I want to see if I should bother with trying to submit them or just keep buying them already graded. Thanks for your help.

    Tough to tell with the white background. Re-scan with a dark background.

    Nope
  • I just started putting together a Ex-ExMt 1960 Topps baseball set which have similiar borders to your cards.

    I cracked out my 5's and 6's that I already had from BVG and PSA. Based on the grades those cards got and what they look like compared to your cards, I'd say you are pretty much looking at 6's, maybe 6.5's from PSA. There seems to be multiple touches of wear on the corner of each card and it does seem like PSA allows the 5's to be a lot more liberal than the 6's in that regard.

    @thenibbler,

    Are your cards raw or graded?

    To everyone else, thanks for the feedback so far. I will try to rescan with a better background. I think the corners on some look a little worse than they are in the present scans. The Arizin IA has virtually perfect corners. It's only weaknesses are the centering and the slightly rough edge--both of which I have seen worse versions of in PSA 7 holders). and the West IA also has 2 perfect corners and 2 with light touches that need magnification to see and perfect edges with centering being its main flaw.

    I agree that the Hundley and Heinsohn would be pretty hard pressed to get any where near a 7 so I will probably keep them raw.

    I've seen some ugly 7s from that set. That being said, I'd send them all in, and just sell the ones that don't suit your needs. You will get more $$ for them when you sell because the buyer won't be taking any risk of getting altered cards etc., and if they do get the 7, then just keep it in your set until you see a prettier one, then just sell the extra. They are nice cards and should be graded in my opinion.
  • I think I have 4 graded cards left, with the Tom Gola PSA 7 the only one that fits your criteria. Send me a pm with your e-mail address
    and I will send you scans of the raw cards. Most are 7/8 quality corners and surfaces but would receive O/C designation if sent in without asking for no qualifiers. I received two 9"s out of the set and the West was an 8, the Oscar was 7 and the Wilt was 7.5. I have sold all of them, but would make someone a good deal on the rest of the set, about 50 cards.

    they look like 6s and 7s to me too. But maybe you could put a sticker with a 9 on it over the label
  • Nice cards, I love the old logos, never knew the Lakers had a giraffe for a logo...and that Warriors logo wouldn't be very PC these days!

    @gameusedhoop

    Thanks for your input. I will probably send in a sub with some of the better cards and see what I get. I do think there's some 7's in the group (there's a lot of cards I haven't scanned). If I get 7's I'll be happy. If I get 6's or lower I guess I can sell them off to buy some 7's.

    @mrmint23

    Thanks for the advice on the scans. I tried your advice of leaving the scan cover off. I also took the cards out of the sleeves. Here are the new scans:

    Much better with black background. Great looking cards. I'd say locks for 7s on these last 2.

    Thanks,
