Old News by now but: SHOULD JORDAN HAVE CAME BACK?

Yeah I now they are not in the playoffs and their season is over but still want to see what some of you guys think. Should Jordan have came back to play on the Wizards?

  • I am gonna keep this plain and simple:

    no
  • He really didnt do too much, except give them a few extra wins and a lot more ticket sales.... from a business standpoint, it was a great move for the NBA's ticket sales... I wonder what % it went up because he played.
    hi
  • I don't think he should have because in the long run it will hurt the younger players experience. Sure it's great to have him as a teacher but look at Courtney Alexander, Jordan is in and he hardley gets any time nor points. Jordan is out and he's the teams 2nd best player.

i think when the best player in the history of the league wants to play when he's 38 he shouldn't be questioned. b4 his knee started giving him problems his team was playoff bound and most people were praising him for showing the younger guys how to win and turning a bad team around. if not for his injury i think the people who said he should'nt come back would be whistling a different tune
  • it's not that he's made the team better now but what he'll do to it in the future. he's taking the minutes from the younger guys who need the experience. I think he should learn to get on without playing maybe take up coaching since he seems to be so good at that.

sometimes it's too easy to tell someone else what you think they should do. think about if you were in his shoes and you spent all of your adult life doing something you loved and were the best ever to do that specific thing and then somebody told you you shouldnt do it anymore. i would think that would be hard to take
  • michael jordan can do whatever he wants. That's the freaking man no matter what and if his comeback hurt any jordan fans in anyway you weren't a true jordan fan anyways!

I wasn't a bigtime jordan fan at all, but I did respect what he did for the game. He brought you to that t.v set even though you hated him. You knew he would drop 60 or just do some crazy moves like only jordan could. No jordan = no chance for young superstars to go beyond his status and prove themselves worthy of even being next to his name.
  • I know that he can do whatever he wants and he probably will do whatever he wants but should he do whatever he wants in the interest of the future of the wizards? he can't go on forever and the best way is probably to go out on a high note. He can still ball but he is loosing it and i know he said he doesn't care about stats like any ball player should and that all he wanted to do was help them transform into a playoff team but what he is really just hurting them like i said in the previous posts i made. I'm not much of a Jordan fan as i used to be but i never really was big on him,why because he's too popular, he's too good. I like the guys that are still trying to make a name for themselves in the league who are trying to prove themselves.

chris, you do make a good point about letting the younger guys grow as players and get more minutes. thats why i think jordan should come back next year but not play as many minutes as this year. doug collins was using him too much. but im sure that was jordan telling collins just how many minutes he wanted to play. it;s hard to tell a competitor like jordan that he's only playing 20 mins tonight

I think he just loved the game. I believe if you can play the game at that level, why not? He didn't go to the wizards to add to his legacy, he wanted to help a team. He did just that and more b/f his knees gave out. I praise him for lacing them up for another run.
