Capped bust 1/2 dime question....

I bought a raw 1835 1/2 dime LG DT and it says double date 1st digit and also written on the paper cello hoder are the words New variety Obv. and its also written PHotographed by Coin World for Clearing House. It also states Fine condition. Is this worth sending in for grading? How much is this usually worth as i have no idea. Thx in advance for any input you can offer.

There are no 'doubled date' 1835 half dimes, or, for that matter, for any other date in the Capped Bust half dime series. Assuming that your coin really is an example of the 'Large Date' variety, that merely reduces the possibilities to slightly more than half of the available die marriages for the date. We would need more information in order to positively attribute your half dime, or a photograph would be even better. As to whether or not it would be worth submitting for grading a F-12 Capped Bust half dime, that decision can only be made by you, but generally I would say not because the cost of slabbing represents too high a percentage of the coin's value.
