A fun story about me, trading, and the post office :)

OK guys, get this. Last February, I completed a deal with mjcjk (Marc) where I sent him my three color brian shaw final piece jersey for his Iverson floor and MoPete jersey. Well, his cards never arrived, so I told him to just keep the Shaw, since he was such a trusted trader, and we'd even up on a later deal.
Well, we made a second deal, where he agreed to just send the Shaw back with my the other cards he was trading me. Well once again my cards got to him, but his didn't show up. Now you can imagine that at this point I was getting pretty frustrated....I had sent twice and had nothing to show for it. I'm sure Marc had to be wondering if I was just some scammer.
Anyhoo, TWO WEEKS after he sent, the second shipment showed up. I was pleased to get them, because now we were even. God knows what happened to them, the envelope loked beat to hell, but the cards were fine.
Flash forward to today. I got an envelope in the mail, with the first shipment-the iverson and mopete-from Marc!!! It was postmarked for Feb. 13, so he sent right when he said he did...but now I owe HIM a card LOL Guess I'll send the Shaw back once again.
Just goes to show that sometimes cards DO get lost in the mail, and this is another reason I'm glad to be a TR member...even when the cards were delayed for months, I never lost faith in my buddy Marc.

  • You are definately a class act. It takes a patient person not to get upset at things like that, and not lose faith in someone. I'm glad it all worked out for ya, with the exception of the Shaw...lol
  • Thats the wonderful thing about having traders you can trust..you never even think for a second "maybe they just never sent."

man, spring for the extra 1.10 and send it insured, I don't see why anyone would mail cards worth more than 20 bucks w/o insurance...at least send the envelope metered!

  • Joe, I agree with you, I always send insured.
