This is not worth the aggravation

I got into this whole PSA grading thing to make my collection more uniform and to make it easier to sell down the road, if I ever choose to do so. I knew I would be spending some money but did not sign up for aggravation.

After having just sent cards back (at my expense) because they were obviously mis-graded, I just got these packs back. I had 19 packs total. 3 of the 4 that were not 1975 mini packs are mislabeled. Who knows how many of the mini packs that were deemed an 8 are now in a 9 label and vice-versa.

I am sure I will be out the shipping costs to send these cards back. My questions: Will these get reholdered for no charge? Will I be expected to pay return shipping fees again?

  • If you contact CS about mechanical errors you had to pay to return they will give you credit for the return shipping. They also send the items back to you on their dime.

hh - That is comforting. Thanks for the info. Had to vent as I sub so infrequently and to have issues twice in a row is disheartening.

I agree. In the past I received vouchers for submissions equal to or in excess of the amount I had to pay to ship the mechanical errors back.

Mechanical errors. I've had this happen to me as well. It happens rather often with cards, too. They will reholder at no charge for you to correct it.

I have sent in thousands of cards and have had only two mislabeling errors. That is pretty good in my book.
Never sent in something like that though.
I feel PSA is very good with labeling.

Not preaching, but never let a bad experience ruin the fun of the hobby. Just deal with it and move forward. image And this is coming from someone
who recently spent $500.00 on something and couldn't believe what came in the mail. I was not too happy, but that's life, and I just bought something on ebay again last night.

It happens. They will reimburse you for shipping, and cover the return shipping.

  • Wow, not good. Quality control can kill a company. Hopefully they're working on a fix for stuff like that.

At least I can get a good laugh out of that. Hopefully, you can too.
