For all the toned Ike fans 1972-D MS66

coinsarefun

Just got the trueview now

EagleEye

Beautiful!

MsMorrisine

nice

do you have a colored 72 type 2 to show?

coinsarefun

Thanks Rick

I forgot to include in my original post a little write up Jamie did, so I will include it now

From CoinFacts

Jaime Hernandez: The 1972-D Eisenhower Dollar is scarce only in grades of MS66 and higher.
In MS66 grade it compares to the 1973-D. In high uncirculated grades the 1972-D is one of the scarcer D mint
mark issues. The 1972-D is probably the second toughest Denver circulation strike Eisenhower dollar from the
Type 1 issues and only the 1978-D seems to be scarcer in very high grades.

No, didn't plan on it. I figured this would be a great one for my toned Type Set
I can always sell my toned proof and look for a 72 T2 but I have a feeling it will take a very long time.

When I think of how I would want a rainbow toned Ike to look when it would cross my path the one you have chosen is spectacular for a clad coin. Great find indeed! And Happy Valentines day-you may have found a new love (Ike).

MsMorrisine

a nicely colored one would be a find.

fivecents

Clad mint state Ikes are almost nonexistant with nice color. Great score. I love it.

Why on earth is he classifying the 72-D with the 78-D?

Nice looking coin Stef.

Y'know, I'm not an Ike dollar fan, but looking at enough of 'em like that, I'd probably have to change my mind.

Very clean. I like the look of the coin and I'm a sucker for pastel clad toning.

DorkGirl

Very nice!

IrishMikey

Not to be a "Debbie Downer" but how on earth did that coin get that combination of colors?
I see silver coins like that all the time, but copper-nickel?
