Should I take a chance with this eBay seller?

I really like this card but the seller's feedback is horrendous. Would you take a chane with this seller? I normally wouldn't but the card rarely is for sale....

Don't know modern enough to make decision based on card in question.

However, I've bought from seller before and had no issues....the times I've bought it's been graded not raw.

I have also bought from them w/ no problems.

feedback for 330,000+ transactions is not all that bad. esp if you are selling raw cards.
that wouldn't worry me at all.

Card seems to have a black mark on reverse. If u plan grading that may hurt you. don't know.

  • Seller is widely known to sell counterfeit cards (Star basketball, SLU, Minor League baseball). They sold them steadily for about a decade before ebay made them stop. I wouldn't put anything past them. I wouldn't spend a dime with them.

This seller has a reputation for selling some cards that weren't on the level. I would steer clear. That being said I do know people who have had successful dealings with them as well. Buyer beware but if it were my cash, I would pass.

    Appreciate today-

I have seen hundreds of Peter Max signatures in person, covering his career from the 1970s to now (and he has changed styles several times). I have works signed by him myself (one personalized to me), and have watched him sign. The signature doesn't match known exemplars from that era (or any other era). The M is way off.

    This one is good.

Here's another good one from the football set a few months later (Topps had the brains to put a Certified Autograph foil stamp on the autos in that set).

BTW, the one you asked about was offered last month and
didn't sell from a dealer in Nebraska who sells a lot of autographs and who has a lengthy argument for PSA/DNA grading when he sells a PSA/DNA card.

    I'd stay far away.

I purchased one time from them a few years back and never received the card. Countless emails to them went unanswered. I wouldn't buy it even if it were legit which is highly questionable.

I have bought some low dollar items from them and have had no problem. Looking at their feedback, it looks like the majority of their negs/neuts over the past couple of months come from ebay rookies who want their card beamed to them within 24 hours via Mr Spock or your basic ebay complaints about shipping/handling etc.

That being said, there is enough speculation out there, that I wouldnt trust them with anything larger than a few dollars
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

you don't always get what is pictured. I have had to return the last 2 cards I purchased. I avoid them now.
