Can anyone make sense of this?

Yes, for collectors building this set it is a very tough, low pop card. VCP on the card was $499 before this sale. $6588.88 and the high bidder still had two more stacked bids going for him. More money than sense.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

    I'd rather buy a high end Mantle, Mays or Aaron for that price. Unreal right there.

    I doubt the guy paying that is worried about money. He obviously has a lot of disposable income and at that point
    you might as well spend it or give it to your kids..
