I hate it when this happens.

When your on eBay looking for that 1 card in that 1 specific grade and you never seem to find it after weeks or months of searching. Then you take a break from and when you finally decide to start looking again after a couple of weeks, you come across one that meets your standards all across the board - only to find - that it was just sold either the same day or the day before. Feels like this happens pretty frequent with me. Ughh the torture.

Are you referring to the always difficult 1988 Donruss Roberto Alomar graded PSA 8?

  • I hate that as well, but more often I am looking for an extemely hard card to find for months if not years. I finally end up paying too much for a BIN, and then in the next three months, two or three go cheap at auction.

Yes this seems to happen to me also. On the other hand though I wonder how often I buy a card that someone else has been waiting for a long time.

How about when someone lists your super hard to find item in high grade as a BIN in the middle of the night. You wake up in the morning (begging for breakfast.........no wait) and see that while you were sleeping someone else bought it for half of what you were willing to pay!!!!!!

I was looking for a rare motorcycle part for almost three years with a saved search. And I didn't miss it when it came up for auction. The saved search is the way to go. image

As a HUGE fan of SNL, that ONE season was the best season they ever had. The short films they did that year (60 Minutes Menkman Novelty, The Magic Shoes, 60 Minutes Male Synchronized Swimming and the 60 Minutes Negro Leagues) were the funniest ones they ever did. Who could forget the reminiscing of "Smelt Night"? If you include the shorts, half of my top ten favorite sketches may have come from that season alone, including Ed Grimley's "Rear Window" with Ed Asner, "Fernando" making Hulk Hogan and Mr. T lose it. Right up there with Hartman's Reagan and "Need More Cowbell!"
