World's greatest Chase Wax Boxes

I am just now learning that these exist. I see BBCE has them for sale for $25 and they contain 20 vintage packs? It would seem to me that would be a decent gamble for what I am hearing is potential. Then I see different boxes on eBay that have inserts and autographs...but they all include a chance to pull a 52 Topps High Series Wax Pack.

I am wondering who has experience busting these and what the chances are of getting something decent? I am guessing if it's $25 most people end up with a bunch of 1987-1990 Topps packs, but what are everyone else's experiences?

Not worth it imo, youll likely get 1. Random topps packs from 88 and up along with maybe 1 87 pack

I drank that Koolaid a few times. My first box had 1980 and 1982 Topps packs in it and the gambler in me thought that was a win. After that, the best pack I got was 1984 Topps. The rest were all garbage.

I opened one box. Found it at Walmart a couple of years ago for $20. It consisted of '88, '89 and '90 junk wax. Also had several
"hand made packs" where they put junk wax commons together wrapped plastic around them and heat sealed the sides.
I wont go down that road again.

A better idea is to send me the $25.00 and I will send you 20 vintage packs. I will also guarantee at least 1 pack before 1987........................

Most people would think that it is full of 87-90 junk wax. In my case, the one or two 87-90 junk wax was the good packs. The other packs were even worse from sets you never heard of before, possible unlicensed.

I bought one of those style boxes and I got about 10 packs of 1988 Donruss.
