a rare seated quarter for the serious variety collector

ive looked far and wide and cannot find one for sale anywhere. last one that i know of one that sold for over $3k and it had a few moderate rim dings.
i have an opportunity to fill a gaping hole in my dansco, but i will need to sell this one to do it. the only issue i see is a spot that looks like glue or something on the reverse. im thinking 4 but will consider serious offers. EDIT : i did find one for sale, a VF at over $7k

The Large O mintmark. R6 in all grades. Probably less than 2 dozen examples reported.
From Briggs "The Comprehensive Encyclopedia of United States Liberty Seated Quarters":
"The variety has a very strange anomaly concerning the rims and it's reeding. The collar used to strike the reeding on this coin has a double reed, or 'seam'. This 'seam' is basically twice as thick as the other reeds seen on this edge, and is very noticeable. It shows up on one of three positions on the edge. Another strange anomaly on all 'double seam' edge coins is five circular 'cuts' that appear approximately ten reeds apart from each other. These appear more lightly than the reeds - rather like a test cut of a cookie cutter in dough. The plain reed edge pieces do not have these circular cut marks."

This is the rarest collectible variety of a Seated quarter.

i havent tried any topical treatment on the glue, when i bought it originally, i directed my attention to the rim anomoly ... but this coin lacks it. speaking with larry briggs, he mentioned that not all had it, while showing it to him i didnt think to ask if he had any indication of what percentage did NOT have the anomoly.

Thanks for the correction. I should not have assumed the feature on the rim was present. Still a rare variety with Large mintmark.
The edge anomaly is not known on the 1840-o small mintmark variety.

i have a few other 1840-O quarters, both with and without drapery, i should see if any of them have the anomaly. that being one of the key reasons i wanted the WD large O and then mine doesnt even have it. figures i guess.
