My power went back out around 7 this morning. Was out till about 3pm. Temp dropped to 56 in here - Was starting to get old. Got it up to 75 now in case it goes out again

Just got my cable and internet back about 30 minutes ago.

The wind here on Cape Cod was unreal. Hyannis hit 77 mph gusts this morning

<< <i>For you poor unfortunate souls who live in Florida (John ...LOL), here are a few more shots. The two paths I cleared took about 1.5 hours to friggin shovel.

Those two large "MUSHROOMS" sitting in my driveway are a car and a 4x4.

Heading back out in a few to get some more done. Now that I have a path into the street I am going to see if I can borrow my neighbors snow-blower to do the driveway. >>

  • << <i>I'm on the North Shore of Long Island ... almost half way between New York City and Montauk. We got hit the hardest out of all of Long Island. Looks like 27 inches in my town. A couple towns away got 32 inches. Just sitting here putting off going outside to clear this stuff. I'll be out there in the next 30 minutes.

Here are a few pictures of my backyard.

We ended up with a little over two feet of snow. It took me around 3-4 hours to shovel and snow plow the driveway and walkways. Work was much worse. I have a auto dealership and we were just buried with snowdrifts. 5 hours last night and 4 more hours this morning. Not a fan of snow right now!

Isn't there a huge problem around Boston with cars on the street that not only get snowed in, but plowed in ?

Houston had a little hail this morning, lasted maybe a minute or two.

    Good luck, Doug!

Handyman - next time you hear that Long Island is getting a lot of snow, you are welcome to come here and play in it all you want ... and long as you bring a shovel!

Barry - Thanks. I have cleared all the walkways and the driveway. The temp is up to 40 degrees today and it's raining. Supposed to rain all day today. The melting of some snow and rain will make for a LOT of water all over the place.
