Question regarding Rack Packs

Hello,
I was looking on ebay at some topps rack packs from the 70's/80's. I was interested in bidding on some but had a question. Is it possible to search a rack pack by pushing the cards inside the rack around to show what cards are underneath. It seems like it would be possible to do so with the loose packaging of racks. Wanted to know if racks are a good option when buying unopened material. I know a lot of you have experience and wanted to get some opinions. Thanks

have had troubles moving cards in 75 racks i owned in the past when debating a rip, but usually there is enough room to gauge the various color combos and make an educated guess based on colors and cell position.
re-sealing is not impossible either so watch who you buy from -
