ICCS not an approved grading company on eBay?

I had not listed an ICCS coin for a while, and am being prevented from doing so since it's not PCGS/NGC/ANACS/ICG. When the culling occurred a while back, leaving PCGS/NGC/ANACS/ICG, I thought ICCS was still OK. Has this changed? Is the solution to list on eBay Canada? I see tons of ICCS coins listed. Thanks.

It's not that ICCS (or CCCS for that matter) didn't make the cut, but it was an American proposal to weed out 2nd tier TPG companies from listing certification in the title ' to get rid of ACG and the other garage or home-TPG's. It came as part of the "approved TPG" survey that went out a couple years ago where ACG was slammed (appropriately so). PCGS and NGC also didn't want any foreign companies approved (and over 80% of all Ebay coins are US), so ICCS and CCCS were left out.

The last I heard was that Canadian companies were going to be allowed in the future. I also thought that it was jusyt the "cert" note in the title that was forbidden, but it was OK in the description. ICCS & CCCS coins abound on Ebay.ca and many coins appearing there also carry over onto Ebay.com. I'm not a dealer, just a collector and observer, so someone else may be able to help you more.
  • I got this info from eBay (USA):
"The policy for raw coins or coins not graded by one of the approved grading companies changed some months ago. Sellers of these are now permitted to reference the grading company and "graded" and "certified" in the listing. What they cannot do is include a numeric grade at all in the listing or reference a dollar value. "

As far as I know ebay's policy only applies to coins listed in the coins:US category.

Never mind, that's not true. All iccs coins on eBay appear to be from Canadian sellers.

Thank you all for your info. I decided to list on eBay.ca last night and it was the answer. Still only lists the big four as approved graders, but when I put in ICCS on my own it was OK with it, unlike the eBay.us selling page.
