Maybe Im just slow RE: shipping insurance through ebay

I sold a card on ebay for 500+, I purchase shipping insurance and notice that insurance is not covered by USPS but an outside insurer called ShipCover. I guess this has been since 2010. What is even more disturbing is that ebay owns Shipcover and I have seen many complaints. The insurance was not at all cheap either. Now Im going to be holding on and hoping there is no issues with the shipment. image

    When purchasing postage through ebay, there's a dropdown menu that allows you to choose ShipCover or USPS insurance. ShipCover is the default. You need to change it to USPS insurance.

    Great information, Maurice, thanks! I didnt notice the slip down box. I have 4 other higher priced items to sell so I'll drop it down to USPS.
