1831 Gilded Great Britain Farthing

I have a gilded GB Farthing from 1831. I would love to learn more about it if there is anything special about it. I assume it was privately done for some sort of jewelry, but who knows?

Farthings are about the same size as gold sovereigns, and have an essentially identical obverse. Gilding farthings was tantamount to counterfeiting, and carried strict penalties if caught.

If you're familiar with the American coinage series, you can think of gilded farthings as the British equivalent to Racketeer Nickels.

Apparently I have been awarded the DPOTD twice. B)
