Are PSA holders waterproof? The USPS decided to find out!

The USPS decided to do an experiement to find out if PSA holders are waterproof. The sender did a great job of securing the card. Cardboard on each side and secured in a white envelope, all inside the padded envelope. USPS did put the package in a nice "WE CARE" plastic wrap and they hope I understand if there are is any damage caused by this rare occurrence. The answer: The card was fine. The label is warped in several places.

There was some really cool experiments done on PSA holders by a really great contributor here many years ago - Brucemo.

He had a really informative blog which is no longer on-line - and that's very unfortunate.

If memory serves - one of the experiments involved taking a card to the paint store and putting it into the paint can shaker.

    Stone193: Beachboys

Alex Trebek: Incorrect. You are supposed to answer in the form of a question. Who are the Beach Boys? Minus 1000.

Yes he did - though I don't remember the results? Wish I had copied/saved his pages!

He also placed a holder on his window sill for a while to check on how the sun affect the color depth.

I did - in searching back in the archives - find an interesting tidbit of information that I'm going to share after I talk to one of the members here with a memory like a steel trap.
