Question for the VAM guys about attribution value

Thanks in advance!! I have a 78-S NGC MS64PL that's a VAM 6 DDO "RIB." According to pop reports at both PCGS and NGC it seems somewhat scarce. Is it worth sending back to have it attributed by NGC?

Check out heritage's past sales of this date and variety.
I would keep it in the 64PL from NGC unless you think it could cross over with the same grade.
pcgs and ngc are not the services of choice ((attribution) but they still get sent in for grading w/o attribution) for the masses for vams and a lot of variety specialists, so the pops are going to be wayyyyy off on dozens of series, especially vams, rpm, ddo, ddr and some others. it is partly due to the fact they only attribute about 2% of the known vams which is their choice, just going by facts and a very small percentage of varieties for other series.
not knocking them.
but to more specifically answer your inquiry, it would be worth it possibly if you have a low cost-basis to begin with, if ngc recognizes this variety, you have some other coins going to average some of the costs out but rawmorgan may have hit it on the head.
i will add if you have or are interested in a SSDC vam registry, it would be a good coin for a set.
