Very nice. It looks like there are about 26 Saints that can be had in MS63 for $2500 or below, most for just a bit over $2000.

    08 motto, 09, 11, 12, 13, 15 a bit tougher of the 26.
  • Obsolete choice coins and a big hunk of gold, you can't beat that combination.

That box is gettin' heavy by now, I'll bet!

You need some Libs in there with your Saints, for a little variety.

The 1914 St. Gaudens looks nice in MS-63. Was this hard to obtain?

Not really. Because of my location I don't have access to shows or shops so I buy off internet sites. I only buy coins that I can look at with magnification. I eliminate coins with black spots or copper spots, minimal hits in the field.

Interesting you should ask. I'm taking a little break. I have to keep my powder dry for a new home purchase on the Islands.

Are there any local dealers on Oahu? image

One can never be certain based on pics, but the '16-S and '27 stand out to my eye. Congrats!

    -Updates-
    1. The 1923 was added 2/14/13

    2. I found this Saint at the Honolulu Coin Show on Saturday. It's a replacement coin.

    1928 PCGS MS63
    image

    3. I had to sell the 1924 and 1928 because our move required the extra cash. I was now down to 9 coins and my Set Registry ranking had dropped from 33 to 41. Sad face. But I was able to replace the 1928 with a better looking coin at the show ($1525). I'm back up to #38.

    4. So, the Box o' $20 project had progressed rapidly to eleven coins by February (started late last December) including the above mentioned 1923 before our move in June. I had enough funds with the sale of my coins last fall to complete the Box o' $20 to include the High Relief in -63, but our "adventure" cost more than planned, it always does, right. It's like the scene from It's a Wonderful Life but with George Bailey saying..."you got it all wrong, the Saints aren't in the bank, there, there, there...in renman's house."

Speaking of Baley, comrade baley requested a specific pic once I settled in...

Here's my new 1928 chillaxing with a foo foo drink and basking in the Hawaiian sunset glow(@Longboard's in Ko Olina).

This concept for collecting has a certain appeal to me, too. But like the old potato chip commercial: "nobody can do just one" lol

    Very appealing coins!
