ebay selling weirdness, best match changes?

I am noticing that lately if I sell an item I will sell another in the same category almost immediately. I do mostly buy now listings so it seems like I get some sort of boost in search standings which leads to another sale or more .



The items that sold weren't coins but I do sell coins now and then. I'm wondering if anyone has noticed this with their own sales.

There is a specific pattern to it , I list a few new items and while those don't sell themselves within a day something else that's languished a bit suddenly picks up watchers or sells outright then bang 1 2 or 3 items that have been up for a while sell in a short period of time. Its as though my items are hidden , then all of them are exposed more by me adding a new item , and a second stage kicks in when something sells. It dies out after a day or two .

They must have made a change to the best match algorithm recently that rewards turnover????

I see more of a collation to the the payday cycle than anything eBay is doing. Fridays seem to bring out more buys of the Fixed Price listings than anything else I can put my finger on.
