Are there any obscure New Haven items that are collectible (and which have not been run up in price)
I was reading the latest issue of CW, and there was an interesting "Are You Aware" article in the front. It dealt with 6 cent, 3 mill Hartford & New Haven turnpike uniface script that was issued in 1799. These script notes were used as passage tickets on the Hartford & New Haven toll road in Connecticut.
Your very own Longacre grew up in New Haven, so I have an interest in coins, currency, and other obscure items from my former home town. I realize that some items from the colonial era are surprisingly inexpensive. For example, a while back, I acquired a New Haven currency note out of a Stack's auction for a proverbial song.
Does anyone know anything about these scrip notes? Any other items (coin or other items) related to New Haven that are worth pursuing, particularly interesting things that are not been run up in price?

My brother works for the State. He is involved in a project where they are trying to make condos or apartments out of the old Winchester gun factory. I asked if they found anything good. He said they found some old wooden gun stocks. But I have a suspicion there may be other good stuff, dropped coins, etc. within the old building.
(see images below... thanks robertpr!)
